Donegal Post is a local weekly regional newspaper published in
County Donegal,
Ulster,
Ireland. When the paper was first launched by
River Media in June 2006, it served the area of south
Donegal, west
Fermanagh, north
Leitrim and north
Sligo.
It has since been joined by sister papers in Sligo and Leitrim. The Rivermedia Group have been one of the great success stories in Irish media over the past two years and now have an impressive 13 titles under their belt.
The Donegal Post is based in Cruagorm House in Donegal Town, and covers several other major towns in County Donegal, including Ballyshannon, Bundoran, Donegal Town, Glenties, Ardara, Killybegs, and The Rosses area of west Donegal.
Official figures just released by the official ABC (Audit Bureau of Circulation) show that the sales of the weekly paper increased by an impressive 30.4% in the period from June-December 2007, making it the largest increase for any regional paper on the island of Ireland.
The Donegal Post is one of four papers in the Rivermedia group that circulate in the county of Donegal. The others include the Letterkenny Post, the Finn Valley Post and the Inish Times.
